Oatmeal Applesauce Raisin Cookies

1/3 cup butter, unsalted, softened4 oz unsweetened applesauce (one snack cup)1 cup brown sugar, loose1/2 cup granulated sugar1 large egg1 tsp vanilla extract1 cup all-purpose flour1/2 cup whole wheat flour1 tsp baking soda1/2 tsp salt1 tsp ground cinnamon2 cups oats such as Quaker Old-Fashioned1 cup raisins1/2 cup finely chopped walnuts
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Cream together butter and sugars in mixer. Add applesauce, egg, and vanilla, mix. In separate bowl, mix flours, soda, salt, and cinnamon. Add flour mix to mixer bowl with butter/sugar, mix at low speed until combined. Stir in oats, raisins, and walnuts with wooden spoon. Drop cookies on cookie sheet in 2-inch balls, flatten slightly. Cook at 350 degrees for 9-11 minutes. Let cool.
