Chocolate Cup Cakes with a Kiss

Ingredients
2 Cups Apple Sauce (unsweetened)2 tbsp. water1 tsp. vanilla extract1 tsp. apple cider vinegar2 egg whites1 cup whole wheat flour1/2 cup white flour1/2 cup cocoa (I used dark cocoa)1 cup ½ Splenda w/ ½ sugar blend (half the cals of sugar)1 tbsp. cornstarch2 tsp. baking soda1/2 tsp. salt14 Hersey’s Kisses (I used dark Kisses)
Directions
Preheat the oven to 325 degrees. Oil or spray your cooking pan(s). If using cup cake liners spray them as well.

Mix apple sauce, the 2 tablespoons water, vanilla extract, apple cider vinegar, and egg whites and mix well.

Mix the dry ingredients together( a sifter would be great but I did not have one and it turned out just fine).; then add the wet mixture and stir until well-combined Put 1 generous spoon full then place 1 kiss in the middle of the scoop. Cover with the rest of the batter evenly. Bake for 25 to 30 minutes, when the center peaks and bounces back. Toothpicks don’t work because of the kiss.

Serve warm. With fat free sugar free vanilla ice cream.
