Darshana's Homemade Kidney Beans (Rajma)

Ingredients
Uncooked Red Kidney Beans (1 cup), 1 cup (remove)Onions, raw, 1 large (remove)*Plum Tomato, Fresh, Raw, Large (5oz), 1 serving (remove)*Canola Oil, 1 tbsp (remove)*Cumin seed, 1 tbsp (remove)*Coriander seed, 1 tbsp (remove)*asafetida, 0.25 tsp (remove)*Chili pepper, red, dried, 6 grams = 2 tsp., 2 tsp (remove)*Garam Masala, 1 tsp (remove)*ground tumeric, 1 tsp (remove)Ginger Root, 3 tsp (remove)*Garlic (1 clove), 3 serving (remove)Cinnamon, ground, 1 tsp (remove)Cloves, ground, 1 tsp (remove)Salt, 1 tsp (remove)Tomato Paste, 14.3 grams (remove)
Directions
-Add kidney beans and 4 cups of water into a pressure cooker and cook it for 4 whistles then turn it off and let it cool.
-Add oil in a pot and add cumin seeds, coriander seeds, dry chills, cinnamon, cloves, asafetida, garam masala, ginger, and garlic.
- Add chopped onions and tomatoes and sauté
- Add turmeric powder, salt, and tomato paste
- Let it all cook for 10 minutes
- Then blend mixture and add to the cooked red kidney beans
