Rosemary Focaccia (bread machine)
- Number of Servings: 1
Ingredients
Directions
3 cups bread flour2 t salt1 T sugar2 t garlic powder2 t active dry yeast1 1/3 c warm water3 T Olive oil2 T parmesan cheese (grated)2 T dried rosemary leaves
1. Put wet ingredients into bread machine, reserve 1 T of olive oil.
2. Put dry ingredients in bread machine. (put yeast in last)
3. Use dough setting on bread machine.
4. When dough setting is done turn out bread dough on a baking sheet sprayed with fat free nonstick spray.
5. Roll out the dough with a rolling pin or press with your hands to cover the whole baking sheet. (kids love to do this)
6. Using your finger or the handle of a wooden spoon make dimples all over the dough.
7. Use the 1 T of olive oil you reserved and drizzle over top of bread dough.
8. Allow to rise until it looks like it has puffed double in height. Meanwhile preheat oven to 375 degrees.
9. Once doubled in size bake on middle rack for 25 minutes, watching to make sure it doesn't get too brown, (I take out when starting to get golden).
10. Let cool on baking sheet for 5 minutes, it will continue to cook a bit more.
11. Cut in pieces for sandwiches, and then slice each piece in half to make a top and bottom (horizontally slice). Makes great Panini bread or simple cut into sticks for a great side with pasta, soup, etc.
Serving Size: makes 8 pieces for sandwiches 6 in x 4.24 in
