1 500g ham hock2 cups of split peas3 cups of chopped potato3 chopped carrots2 large stalks of celery, chopped2 chopped onions2 teaspoons of minced garlic1 tablespoon of black peppercorns1.5L of chicken stockApprox 1L of waterExtra water for achieving desired consistency
1. Chop & place all ingredients in a slowcooker. Must be atleast 5.5L
2. Cover & simmer on max heat until meat has fallen from bones.
3. Remove hocks bones.
4. Add more water until desired consistency is achieved.
5. Let the soup cool overnight before blitzing. Or to serve immediately, leave it chunky.
6. Divide into 20 equal parts
