Spaghetti with Meatballs

Ingredients
1/2 tbsp vegetable oilHalf medium onion, finely chopped1 clove garlic, minced1/2 tsp salt1/4 tsp dried thyme1/4 tsp pepper1/4 cup beef stock1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce500 g lean ground beef1/2 cup soft bread crumbs1 tbsp finely chopped parsley1 egg, lightly beaten3 cups tomato sauce1/2 cup beef stock375 g cooked spaghetti
Directions
Preheat oven to 400*F
Rimmed baking sheet, greased

* In a medium nonstick skillet, heat oil over medium heat. Add onion, garlic, salt, thyme and pepper;
cook, stirring often, 5 minutes or until softened. Stir in beef stock and Worcestershire sauce; let cool
slightly.
* In a bowl combine onion mixture, ground beef, bread crumbs, parsley and half the beaten egg; mix
well.
* Form beef mixture into 1 1/2-inch balls; arrange on rimmed baking sheet. Bake in preheated oven
for 22 to 25 minutes or until nicely browned. Transfer to a paper towel-lined plate to drain.
* In a large saucepan, combine tomato sauce, cooked meatballs and beef stock. Bring to a boil,
reduce heat and simmer, covered, for 15 minutes. Toss with cooked spaghetti; sprinkle with Parmsan
cheese.
