1 lb beef stew meat1.5 lbs or 3-4 med red potatoes, peeled and diced3 - carrots, diced large1 med yellow onion diced1 large stalk celery diced2 tsp better than bouillon beef flavor4 tsp all purpose flour2 tsp canola oil1/4 tsp Tony Chachere's seasoning ( or to taste)1/4 tsp garlic powder (to taste)Black pepper to taste
brown meat in oil. remove meat. cook flour in oil until brown, stirring constantly. add diced onion and celery. cook until translucent, about 1 minute. add back meat, potatoes, carrots, and 2 tsp bouillon. add water to cover ingredients by 1 to 1.5 inches. bring to boil then turn to low and simmer, covered until meat is tender, about 2.5 hours.
