Spicy Sesame Beef Stir-fry

1 1/2 lb. sirloin steak, cut into 1/4" slices1/2 cup dry sherry6 T gluten-free soy sauce1 T minced ginger root3 T minced garlic2 T wok oil, divided1 large head of broccoli1 large onion, cut into wedges1 red bell pepper, thinly sliced1/4 cup sesame seeds1 tsp. crushed red pepper1/2 tsp. xanthan gum1 cup beef broth
In a glass container, combine beef, sherry, soy sauce, ginger, and garlic. Refrigerate 1 hour.
Cut florets from broccoli and peel stalk. Dice stalk and mix with onion and pepper in a bowl. Set aside.
Drain meat, reserving marinade. Heat 1 T wok oil in a wok or large saute pan. Add beef and stir-fry until browned, about 2 minutes. Transfer beef to a container.
Mix broth, reserved marinade, xanthan gum, and crushed red pepper in a small bowl, stirring until the mixture thickens slightly.
Heat remaining oil. Stir-fry vegetables until tender crisp. Add the sesame seeds and continuing cooking until seeds are lightly browned.
Return beef to wok. Add marinade mixture. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until the ingredients are thoroughly heated.
