Mushroom Burgers

Ingredients
16 oz lean ground beef or ground turkey2 gloves garlic, minced2 c. fresh mushrooms, chopped
Directions
In large bowl, combine all three ingredients and make into 8 pattys. Grill at low heat.

Add whole wheat bun and low fat swiss cheese.

WW pts 4 w/ ground beef or 8 with bun & cheese
WW pts 2 w/ground turkey or 6 with bun & cheese

    I used axis (venison) instead of beef, and added some gourmet steak seasoning, put it on wheat buns w/ lettuce & tomatoes. The family loved it! Thanks for the idea w/ the mushrooms inside instead of on top and falling off all the time! - 9/25/08

    These burgers were so delicious! The mushrooms really help moisten the lean beef and the extra "meaty" flavor they provide almost made me feel like I was eating a good greasy diner burger. I also added half a finely chopped medium onion and a tsp of olive oil to bind everything together. - 5/13/08
