Fresh Fig Cookies

Ingredients
1 c. white sugar1/2 c. butter1 egg2 c. all purpose flour1 tsp. baking soda1 tsp. baking powder1/2 tsp. sale1/2 tsp. cloves or cinnamon1 c. chopped fresh figs (about 4 large)1/2 c. chopped toasted walnuts
Directions
1. preheat oven to 350 degrees
2. cream sugar & butter then add beaten egg
3. sift dry ingredients and blend with creamed mixture. Fold in figs and nuts.
4. drop by spoonfuls on greased cookie sheet. Bake for 15 to 20 minutes.
