Ingredients
*Duncan Hines Moist Delux Lemon Supreme Cake Mix, 1 serving Eggs - Jumbo Grade A Eggs 3 serving Applesauce, sweetened, .75 cup Powdered Sugar, 3.5 cup, unsifted *Carlini Vegetable Shortening (Aldi), 8 tbsp Lemon Juice 'Real Lemon' 100% juice, 10.25 tspwilton meringue 3 tablespoonslemon extract 1 teaspoon
Directions
bake cake according to directions EXCEPT don't use OIL, instead put in that much applesauce, then bake as indicated... in a mixer mix the sifted powder sugar, the shortening,extract and 1/2 the lemon juice, slowly adding more as needed don't over pour.mix well the longer the better, makes it more fluffy.. cool cake completely then frost!!
