real corny corn bread

Ingredients
Butter, unsalted, 2 tbsp DRYYellow Cornmeal, 2 cup *Splenda, 1 TbspSalt, 1/2-1 tspBaking Powder, 2 tsp Chili powder, 1 Tbsp WETEgg, fresh, whole, raw, 2 large 1C greek plain yogurt + 1/4/ C water or 1 1/4 C buttermilk or reg plain yogurt1 sm can diced Green Chili Peppers1-2 Tbsp chopped green onions (optional)
Directions
heat oven to 350

place butter in 9 in round or square pan, place in oven to heat pan & melt butter

mix dry and wet ingredients separately

mix wet ingredients into dry ones (batter will be very stiff)

swirl melted butter around in pan to coat sides, pour remaining into batter and stir lightly

pour (spoon) batter into pan, smoothing top surface w/ spatula

bake at 350 for 30 min or untill knife inserted in center comes out clean

Serving Size: makes 8 wedges or squares
