3 slice(s) thick sliced bacon, chopped and microwaved until crispy˝ pound potatoes, unpeeled and diced2 medium onions, chopped1 garlic clove, minced or finely chopped1 teaspoon dried thyme, crushed2 cans (6.5 oz each) chopped Snows® Bumble Bee® clams, undrained1 can (10.75 oz) cream of celery soup1 can (10.75 oz) tap water1 (12 ounce) can Pet® evaporated milk with vitamin D addedYour favorite hot sauce, if desired
1. Spray your crock pot or slow cooker with cooking oil.
2. Place the cooked bacon, potatoes and the remaining ingredients but the evaporated milk in the container.
3. Stir to combine. Cover the container and cook on HIGH for at least 3 hours.
4. Add the evaporated milk and stir to combine.
5. Cover and cook another hour or so on HIGH.
6. Serve with hot sauce, if desired
Serving Size: Makes 6 ample servings of chowder.
