Pickled Red Onions

Ingredients
1 red onion, thinly sliced1/2 cup white wine vinegar1/4 cup sugar1 tsp salt1 cinnamon stick6-8 whole black peppercorns
Directions
Slice onion thinly and place in bowl. Mix all other ingredients in a saucepan and heat until boiling. Pour over onion slices and refrigerate overnight.
