Chocolate Pound Cake with Chocolate Icing

Ingredients
Cake:1 C. Shortening1 C. Butter3 C. Sugar5 Eggs3 C. Flour1/8 tsp salt1/2 tsp. baking soda1/2 C. Cocoa1 1/8 C. Milk1 tsp. Vanilla ExtractIcing:2 2/3 C. Confectioners Sugar1/3 C. Cocoa1/3 C. Soft Butter3-4 Tbsp. Milk
Directions
Cake: Preheat oven to 325. Cream butter, shortening and sugar. Add 1 egg at the time and beat. Sift dry ingredients together in a separate bowl and add alternately with the milk. Add vanilla. Bake 1-1 1/2 hours depending on pan (I used rectangular 9x13 pan baked for an hour) until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Let cool about 20 minutes before turning out onto dish.

Icing: Beat all ingredients until well blended and creamy.

Ice completely cooled cake. Makes roughly 18 square slices. You may not get the same number of slices, depending how large you slice.
