Pain Perdu with Champagne Glazed Berries

Ingredients
Horizon Organic Fat Free Milk, 1.5 cupEgg beaters, egg substitute, 3/4 c Splenda Brown Sugar Blend, 2 TbspCinnamon, ground, 1/2 tsp Nutmeg, ground, 1/2 tsp Vanilla Extract, 1 1/2 tsp Salt, .5 tsp18 1" Slices Specially Selected French Baguette Butter, salted, 3 Tbsp Water, tap, 2 cup Champagne, Extra Dry 1/2 cupSplenda Brown Sugar Blend, 2 TbspCorn Starch, 1 TbspRaspberries, 1 1/2 cup Blackberries, fresh, 1 cup Blueberries, fresh, 1 cup Strawberries, fresh, 1 cup, halves Powdered Sugar, 1 tbsp, unsifted
Directions
Combine first 7 ingredients, stirring well with a whisk. Set aside. Combine 2 cups water, champagne, 2 Tbsp Splenda brown sugar, and cornstarch in a large saucepan, stirring with a whisk. Bring to a boil; cook until reduced to 1 cup (about 5 minutes). Set aside to cool. Arrange the bread slices in a single layer in a large shallow dish. Pour milk mixture over bread, and let stand until milk is absorbed (about 2 minutes).
Melt 1 tablespoons butter in a large cast-iron skillet over medium heat. Arrange 6 bread slices in pan; cook 3 minutes on each side or until bread is golden brown. Remove from pan; keep warm. Repeat procedure with remaining 2 tablespoons butter and 12 bread slices. Remove pan from heat. Add fruit to pan reduced champagne syrup, stirring well to coat. Arrange 3 slices on toast on a plate top with fruit and sprinkle lightly with powdered sugar.
