Chickpea Soup with Greens & Carrots

Ingredients
2 cups chicken or vegetable broth2 carrots, thinly sliced (about 1 cup)3 cloves garlic, minced or crushed1/2 tsp ground or rubbed sage1/2 tsp ground pepper2 cups chickpeas, kidney beans, or black beans2 cups (or more) romaine, spinach, or watercress, chopped
Directions
Bring broth to boil. Add garlic, carrots, sage, and pepper. Simmer until carrots are tender, about 15-20 minutes. Add chickpeas. Bring to boil. Return to simmer until beans are soft, about 15 to 20 minutes. Add lettuce or other greens. Cover. Bring to boil, then reduce heat and simmer until greens are cooked to your liking - crunchy or soft.
