Baked Steak

Ingredients
1 1/2 pound round steak, trimmed of fat1 can beef broth1 can cream of mushroom soup1/4 cup flour seasoned with 1/8 tsp salt and a dash of pepper1/4 cup vegetable oil
Directions
Have meat in 4 ounce serving pieces. Coat with the seasoned flour and saute in a little oil on both sides for a couple minutes. Put meat in a small roaster or casserole with a cover. Put broth in skillet to pick up any bits left from frying. Stir in soup. Pour over meat, give a stir, cover, and bake at 350* for two hours. Stir a couple times and add a little water if gravy becomes too thick.

Makes 6 servings of meat with a little gravy for potatoes or rice. You can easily double the broth and mushroom soup if you require more gravy but that will not be in the nutritional calculations.
