Shepherd's Pie with Ground Turkey

Ingredients
1 pkg Ground White Turkey (about 20 0z)1 can whole kernel corn1 can whole or cut green beans1 can tomato sauce (12 oz)3/4 cup chopped onion1 cup cheddar cheese2 1/2 cups instant mashed potatoes or homemade ( I use Hungry Jack brand Instant)
Directions
Brown onion and ground turkey in skillet, add canned tomato sauce, corn and green beans. Transfer to a baking dish. In a separate bowl mix instant mashed potatoes or potatoes from scratch. Dollop potatoes on top of meat mixture. Sprinkle with cheese. Bake in 375 Degree oven until cheese and potatoes are golden brown.

    I thought it was very good. Tried to spice up the turkey since it is usually so bland- added paprika, thyme, cajun seasoning, red peper and garlic powder. It helped. Also, was out of milk for my potatoes so used buttermilk- wow, it was yummy! Very likely make this again.

    You would have less sodium if use frozen vegetable instead of canned.
