Tomato Soup

Ingredients
1 can tomatoes1 medium carrot, chopped1 medium onion, chopped1 stick celery2-3 pieces of bacon, chopped1 tbsp butter or margerine1 tp salt1 tsp sugar1/2 tsp basil2 cups chicken stock or water and cubes
Directions
In a saucepan fry the bacon, celery,carrot and onion in 1 tbsp butter until vegetables are softened and onion is transparent.
Stir in 1 large can of tomatoes. Add 2 cups stock, salt and sugar.
Bring to a boil and cook until vegetables are soft.
Remove from heat, cool slightly , then put soup in a blender until 'almost' smooth.
Return to saucepan and stir in basil.
Reheat and serve.
