1 1/2 c. sifted flour3 T. cocoa powder1 tsp. baking soda1 c. sugar1/2 tsp. salt5 T. vegetable oil1 T. white distilled vinegar1 tsp. vanilla extract1 c. cold water
Preheat oven to 300 degrees. Grease a 9x9 in. or 7x11 in. cake pan. Sift together flour, cocoa powder, sugar and salt into the pan. Make one small, one medium and 1 large hole in the dry mixture. Pour the vanilla in the small hole, the vinegar in the medium hole and the oil in the large hole. Pour the cold water over all of it and beat with a spoon until mixture is moistened. Bake for 30 minutes.
