Ingredients
Directions
Started with a 20 oz. package of Butterball 97% lean ground white turkey. I added 1/2 cup of chopped green bell pepper, big 1/3 cup of chopped white onions (about 1.5 ozs) and about 1/2 cup of chopped roma tomatoes (about 3 ozs). Added Bragg's seasonings honestly until it looked good!
Dumped it all in skillet to fry over medium heat. I used the lid for the first few minutes to help the turkey cook through. Stirring frequently. After a few minutes I added some of the Walden Farms Garlic and Herb. You could probably skip it and add just at the end.
I drained off the water in the pan once turkey was cooked and fried a little longer adding a little garlic powder and more Bragg's Seasoning to taste.
When it was done I weighed it out and found I had (5) 4 1/4 oz portions and I divided my meals into baggies.
Optional. I decided it needed a "cheese" taste, so I added some Bragg's Nutritional Yeast. I went out on a limb to try this stuff, it DOES add a cheese like taste! I am putting it on eggs and fish and apparently turkey now!
My cook time is very approximate. I kept eyeballing and tasting it.
This tasted soo good to me that I took the time to enter and share my simple creation.
Serving Size: Makes (5) 4.25 oz servings approximately
