Low Sodium Bread Sticks

Ingredients
1 C plus 2 tbsp Water, tap 1.25 tsp Fleischmann's Yeast (instant dry yeast) (by NURSIEBOOP) 3 cup Flour, white .5 tsp Salt 3 tbsp Canola Oil 6 tsp Granulated Sugar Optional topping:Parmesan cheese 2 tbsp Butter, salted 1 tbsp Garlic powder 1 tbsp Parmesan Cheese, grated
Directions
If using active yeast, proof by mixing 1 tbsp sugar in luke warm water and let sit for 10 mins.
Add in oil, 1.5 C flour, the other tbsp sugar and the salt.
Mix in the remaining flour and kneed for 7 mins.

Oil dough and sit covered, in a warm place to rise for 1 and a half hours.

Punch down dough and cut into 16 pieces. Shape into sticks by rolling with hands. Cover and let rise for one more hour.

Cook for 10 mins in oven preheated to 425f.

Baste with melted butter and garlic, and sprinkle with parmesan.
