Slow Cooker Veggie Split Pea Soup

Ingredients
1 package of dried split peas1 med onion, chopped1/2c carrots, chopped2 potatoes, diced5 cups boiling water1 c hot lowfat milk1/2 t salt1/2 t pepper2 garlic cloves
Directions
Add all ingredients except milk into slow cooker. Cover, cook on high 4 hours. Add milk, serve and enjoy!

    Very good. I didn't use the potato and it was fine. I think next time I will add a little liquid smoke to make up for the lack of ham hock. - 10/3/08

    Thats a great idea about the liquid smoke, I hadn't thought of that! I will have to add some next time I make a batch :)
