Garam masala is an Indian Spice, it means Hot (Garam) Spice (masala). you can make it at home by mixing the hot spices like cloves, bayleaf, chillie, nutmeg, cinnamon, black cardamom, peppercorns etc. - 6/11/08

Delicious - didn't have garam masala in my grocery store, so I added coriander, cumin, chili powder, and a little smoked paprika. I am not a fan of tahini so I only added 1 tbsp. This is delicious - the creaminess of the avocado really adds to it! - 2/21/09

Yum yum yum! Only things I changed were: doubled the indian spice used lime juice instead of lemon and through in a tsp of sesame seed oil since i didn't have any tahini. - 11/13/08
