Feuerzangenbowle (German Mulled Wine)

3 Bottles Red Wine 2 Cinnamon SticksPinch of ground Cardamom Pinch of Ground Allspice Pinch of Ground Cloves .5 tsp Ginger Root 2 Organic, Unwaxed Lemons 2 Organic, Unwaxed Oranges 8 fl oz Rum 1 Zuckerhut (Sugar Cone)
Wash lemons and oranges, pat dry, and cut into wedges.
Add red wine, oranges, lemons, cinnamon stick, cardamom, and allspice to a large pot. Heat up slowly, but DO NOT LET BOIL.
Reduce heat to lowest setting, to keep punch warm.
Place or hold Zuckerhut above the pot (you can use tongs to hold it, or arrange skewers as a little bed for it).
Soak Zuckerhut with rum. Light it on fire.
Once the Zuckerhut has melted, stir up contents in pot and serve.
Serving Size: Makes 12-14 servings
