Ingredients
1 LB 96% lean ground beef1 roll/package pillsbury original crescent rolls1 packet your favorite taco seasoning (i use williams brand)1 1/2 cups kraft mexican four cheese shredded cheeseany other desired taco toppings
Directions
Preheat your oven to 375.
Start to brown the 1 lb of ground beef, this should take about the same ammout of time as your oven takes to preheat. Once the the beef is done drain the grease from the pan and add the taco seasoning (leave the burner on low). I find that only adding a little less than 1/4 cup of water works well if you add the ammount reccommended by the taco seasoning package the meat is too runny for this recipie. Once the taco seasoning is well mixed in add in the 1 1/4 cup shredded cheese stirring it in until well melted.
Now prepare the crescent rolls themselves in a ring shape with the points out. This works best on a round pan like a pizza pan or a round baking stone. Using a 1/4 cup measuring cup place the taco meat on the crescent rolls evenly distrubuting the meat between the crescent rolls. Once all the meat is in place fold the crescent rolls over the meat. Put in the oven for 11-13 minutes or until the crescent rolls are golden brown and crispy.
Once out of the oven let set about 5 minutes to cool. Then serve with with your favorite taco toppings.
1 roll w/meat is 1 serving.

Somehow taco filling in crescent rolls doesn't sound right. It should be in a cornmeal dough. - 9/9/18

I made these last night. I was skeptical, but they were really good. My kids and all their friends raved about them.
Eating only one is a problem as they aren't very filling. I just planned ahead and ate a smaller lunch so I could have two along with a big salad. - 3/22/12

My fiance & I LOVED this meal. Only additions/changes I made were using ground turkey (I rarely use beef anymore) & if it were available at the store we shopped at I definately would have gone w/low fat crescent rolls & low sodium taco seasoning. - 6/1/08
