Delightful Chocolate Caramel Nut Cookies

1.50 cup Flour - Gold medal all purpose flour 0.50 tsp Salt 3.50 tbsp Butter, salted 0.50 tsp Baking Powder 0.50 tsp Baking Soda 0.33 cup Granulated Sugar 0.33 cup, packed Brown Sugar 4 tbsp Shortening, Crisco 1 large Egg, fresh, whole, raw 1 tsp Vanilla Extract 0.25 tsp McCormick Pure Almond Extract (by NARINFLA) 4 tbsp Chocolate, Nestle Real Semi-Sweet Chocolate Chips 0.60 cup Diamond Sliced Almond or Pecans4 tbsp Delightfulls baking morsels milk choc/caramel
Cream sugar & butter & crisco together with electric mix for 3 minutes
Add egg and extracts, mix for another minute
Slowly add flour, salt, powder, soda a little at a time and mix each until all is blended in nicely.
Stir in chips and nuts
Refrigerate dough for at least 90 minutes
drop by clumps approx 1 heaping tablespoon full onto cookie sheet
Bake at 375 for 9 to 10 minutes
Let cool on sheet for 2 minutes, then transfer to wire rack
Serving Size: Makes 18 or 19 cookies
