Whole Wheat Waffle

Ingredients
2 cups whole wheat flour4 teaspoons baking powder1 teaspoon salt1 teaspoon sugar1 1/2 cups milk *2 eggs, separated2 tablespoons butter or margarine, melted*This recipe's nutritional info uses skim
Directions
Preheat waffle maker.

In a small bowl, beat egg whites until stiff, but not dry. Set aside.
In a medium sized bowl, beat egg yolks until thick and creamy. Continue beating adding milk. mix dry ingredients together and gradually add to milk and egg mixture; beat until smooth.
Fold in stiffly beaten egg whites and melted butter.
Add 1/3 cup batter to preheated waffle maker. *
Close waffle maker. Bake until golden brown, about 3 minutes. Repeat with remaining batter.

* Adjust size to waffle maker, this recipe uses one that makes 2 square sized waffles.

2 waffles per serving.

FOR FLARE! :
Layer one waffle with desire fruit. Place second waffle on top, layer with fruit. Drizzle with syrup.
