Pierogi in Tomato-Onion Sauce

12 perogies 2 tbsp Extra Virgin Olive Oil 1 cup sliced onions1 can of crushed tomatoes 1 tsp Marjoram 1/2 tsp Oregano 1 tsp Salt 1 tsp Pepper, black 1 tbsp Parmesan cheese (optional)
1. Heat olive oil in large skillet.
2. Add sliced onion. Cook over high heat until starting to brown, about 5 minutes.
3. Add crushed tomatoes, marjoram, oregano, salt, and pepper and reduce heat to medium.
4. Cook, stirring occasionally, for 20 minutes.
5. Add perogies to the sauce and reduce heat to low. Cook, stirring once or twice, until perogies are cooked through (4 minutes for fresh; 10 minutes for frozen).
6. Serve. Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese if desired.
