Clam and Shrimp Pasta Sauce

2 tbsp Extra Virgin Olive Oil 1 cup, chopped Onions, raw 5 clove Garlic 8 oz Shrimp, raw 3 serving Clams Maine Whole Trader Joes 8 clams .75 serving Red Pepper Bell 1 large 1 cup clam juice 1 cup 1 tsp Oregano, ground 1 tbsp Basil 1 tsp Thyme, ground
Heat EVOO in pan until hot.
Chop garlic, onions, and red pepper.
Saute garlic and onions until soft (about 3 minutes).
Add chopped red pepper and cook about 2 minutes more.
Add dried herbs, stir well.
Add 3 cans of Whole Maine Cherrystone Clams (Trader Joe's) with juice. Cook on medium heat until it starts to bubble (about 5 - 8 minutes).
Salt to taste (little to no salt is needed as the clams and juice contain a lot of sodium).
Add cleaned, raw shrimp and bring heat to med-high for about 2 minutes.
Lower heat to low, cover for another minute or so until shrimp is pink.
Remove from heat, cover and let sit for another 1 - 3 minutes.
Garnish with fresh ground pepper, grated cheese, and fresh Italian parsley as desired.
