Double Peanut Butter Cookies

1 1/2 cups sifted flour1/2 cup sugar1/2 tsp baking soda1/4 tsp salt1/2 cup Crisco1/2 cup creamy peanut butter1/4 cup light corn syrup1 tbl milk
24 cookies.
Combine flour, sugar, soda, and salt. Cut in Crisco and peanut butter until mixture resembles coarse meal. Blend in syrup and milk. Shape in roll 2 inches in diameter. Chill. Slice 1/8 to 1/4 inch thick. Place half the slices on ungreased cookie sheet; spreach each with 1/2 teaspoon peanut utter. Cover with remaing slices: seal edges with fork. Bake at 350 for 12 minutes or until browned
