Lower-Sodium Split Pea Soup (No Meat)

Ingredients
1 (16 oz) package dry split green peas1 1/2 cups peeled carrot, sliced thinlyor chopped 1 cup yellow onion, chopped 2 small stalks celery, thinly sliced (5" per stalk) 2 cloves garlic, minced 1 Bay leaf1/2 tsp Kosher Salt & freshly ground black pepper, to taste1 1/2 tsp Colgin Liquid Smoke, Natural Hickory 4 cups Swanson Unsalted Chicken Broth from a carton2 cup Sam's Choice Vegetable Broth from a carton
Directions
Layer ingredients in crock pot in the given order, adding the broth last. Do not stir ingredients. Cover and cook on high 4�5 hours or on low 8�10 hours until peas are very soft. It will thicken up once you stir it and the peas should look almost pureed.
