Buttery Chocolate Chip Pecan Blondies

Ingredients
1 cup all-purpose flour1 cup packed brown sugar1 stick European butter, melted1 large or extra large egg1 tsp vanilla1/2 tsp baking powder1/8 tsp baking soda1/2 tsp salt1/2 cup Ghirardelli milk chocolate chips (semi-sweet or dark works too)2-3 tbsp Ghirardelli white chocolate chips (butterscotch or peanut butter works too!)1/4 cup pecan chips (optional, walnuts or cashews or any nut works)
Directions
1) Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease 8'' x 8'' or small brownie pan with butter and flour or baking spray.
2) Stir together melted butter and brown sugar. Add egg and vanilla then stir until blended. Stir in flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt until a thick dough is formed.
3) Fold in mix-ins. Spread dough evenly into greased pan. Bake for 25-30 minutes. Cool then cut.

    Great simple dessert recipe. The brown sugar and butter base is rich and gooey and the edges form a perfectly browned crust. This is just as quick and easy as boxed mix but so much better tasting! Also, you know what you are putting in them so they are much better for you. - 12/19/16
