Turkey Meatloaf

1 pound of lean ground turkey---Meatloaf---1 beaten egg1 1/2 cup bread crumbs1/2 cup apple sauce1/4 cup chopped celery2 tbs chopped onion1 tsp Dijon mustard1/2 tsp salt1/4 tsp pepper---Topping---1/2 cup apple sauce1 tbs brown sugar1 1/2 tsp white vinegar1/2 tsp Dijon mustard
Take 1 pound of Ground Turkey and mix thoroughly with all the ingredients under "meatloaf" in the ingredients list.
Shape into a loaf and place in pan.
With a spoon make a crater like depression into the top on the loaf.
Combine all the ingredients under "Topping" in the ingredients list.
pour the topping into the depression you made in the loaf.
Bake for 1 hour at 350 degrees

We had this tonight and it was really delicious.
I made it with extra lean chicken mince (Idon't like turkey) and added a little garlic (I add this to just about everything) either way it was great.
There was, at least for us, enough for 8 slices @ 1" thick, along with vegetables it was enough. - 6/4/08
