Mushroom Barley Soup

Ingredients
1/2 tsp Pepper, white1 1/2 tsp Salt1 pound Mushrooms, fresh4 large Onions, sliced12 cup Water, tap3/4 cup Barley, pearled, raw & rinsed1 T dry Oatmeal (plain)
Directions
Brown sliced onions
Add sliced mushrooms
Add Barley
Add water
Bring to boil uncovered for 1 hour until barley is soft
Simmer uncovered for 60 minutes till Barley soft
Add salt & pepper
Add oatmeal to thicken
