What are the odds - that I put beans in a bowl of water overnight - and this recipe was staring at me when i logged in this morning ! *laughs* I figured it was fate - and it was delicious fate at that ! Would make again ! I substituted lima beans for a mixture of beans ! Thanks for sharing !!! - 4/13/08

If you pour off the water they soaked in, and cover them in fresh water - they will be less... um... AROMATIC. - 4/13/08

I LOVE lima beans on their own but wanted to try something new so halved the spices for the trial test. I'll give this recipe another look. - 7/25/19

This is good not all that spicy - but maybe my spices are getting old. I like this and will make it again. I ate my portion with a spoon out of the bowl. - 2/13/16

I am trying to use more lima beans for the potassium so was thrilled to see this recipe. I was even happier when it was a huge hit at home. This will be on our greatest dinner hits list. Thank you for sharing. - 3/12/10

I can see why this would get great reviews. I think my only problem is I'm not a huge fan of curry. haha So, for me, it was okay, didn't blow me away, but glad I tried something new. =) - 4/14/08

I have made a recipe so close to this and we really enjoy it at our house. Mine does not call for mustard seeds, but I am making a note to try that the next time I prepare my recipe - 4/13/08

Dr. Oz said on OPRAH to have Tomato Paste, Mustard, and curry each week, so this is the perfect dish. - 4/13/08
