Rebecca Ffrench's Sweet Potato Pie Smoothie

Ingredients
1/3 cup roasted sweet potato, mashed1 frozen banana, cut into several pieces1 cup almond milk, store-bought or homemade (page 38)1 tablespoon almond butter, store bought or homemade (page 37)1/2 teaspoon pure vanilla extract1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon1/8 teaspoon freshly grated nutmeg1 tablespoon hemp or chia seedsHandful of ice
Directions
Put all the ingredients in a blender jar and process for
1 minute, or until smooth. Drink immediately

Cook’s note:
Roast one or two sweet potatoes in advance
(page 30) and freeze them in 1/3-cup portions.
You can blend up the frozen sweet potato, but
you may want to add more milk because it’ll
yield a thicker drink (kind of like ice cream!).
