SPARKLING LEMON LIME SORBET

Ingredients
Directions
1 envelope unflavored gelatin½ - ¾ cup sugar1 cup tap water1 cup ginger ale or champagne½ cup fresh lemon juice1/3 cup fresh lime juice
Combine sugar and gelatin in a four-cup measuring cup; add
water and let stand for one to two minutes. Stir; place in
microwave oven and heat 2-3 minutes to dissolve gelatin.
Let cool and add remaining ingredients. Pour into a 9 inch
square pan and freeze for 3 hours or until firm. With electric
mixer or food processor, beat mixture until smooth. Return
to pan; freeze until firm, approximately 2 hours. To serve, let
stand at room temperature 15 minutes or until slightly
softened. Garnish with fresh fruit, mint, lemon twist or
cherries.
