1 1/2 cup minus 1tbs spring hard red wheat (Winona Patent flour)1 cup Whole Wheat Flour 1 tsp salt1 cup milk 1 tbsp butter (margarine isn't the best for baking)2 tsp Saf Instant Yeast
Have dry ingredients ready but set yeast aside. Heat milk and butter to 100 degrees ( I microwave for 45 seconds (1100 watt oven) put into bread maker cover liquid with dry ingredients except yeast. Add yeast on top away from liquid. Start bread machine on dough cycle When dough is mixed, reshape and put in oven at 375 degrees for 20-25 minutes, or use wheat bread setting on bread maker to bake. when finished baking, remove from pan and brush a light coating of butter on the top to soften crust.
