250g Spelt flour4 medium Eggs, fresh, whole, raw 225 grams Butter, unsalted 250 grams ground Hazelnuts 2 tbsp Cocoa, dry powder, unsweetened 3 tbsp Brandy 1 tsp Baking Powder 1 serving Vanilla Essence 1 tsp1 tbsp Cinnamon, ground 4 sour apples, grated
beat eggs until foamy
mix in sugar and vanilla essence
mix in butter until creamy
add flour, baking powder, cocoa powder, cinnamon
add hazelnuts
mix in apples drizzled in brandy
divide into two cake tins (or one large round form)
bake 55-65 min at 175C
let cool and sprinkle with powdered sugar to decorate
Serving Size: makes two cakes at 12 slices each
