2 cans Del Monte Diced Tomatoes, No Salt Added 1 large can Pacific Natural Foods Organic Crushed Tomatoes 16 oz 80/20 ground beef chuck, browned and drained2 cup pieces Mushrooms, fresh 1 medium (2-1/2" dia) Onions, raw, chopped 6 clove Garlic, chopped2 tbsp Basil, chopped2 tbsp Oregano, chopped1 cup, chopped Green Peppers (bell peppers) 1.5 cup Tomato Paste 1 lb Italian Sausage, pork, browned and drained
1. Saute onions, garlic, mushrooms, and peppers until onions are clear
2. Add all ingredients to the crock pot and cook on low 6-8 hours
3. Store in freezer until ready to use; keeps up to 3 months in the freezer or 3-4 days in the refrigerator.
Serving Size: Makes 4 jars of sauce; 4 servings each
