Yummy spiced apples
- Number of Servings: 9
Ingredients
Directions
9 apples3/8 cup sugar2 Tbsp flour1 tsp cinnamon1/4 tsp salt1/4 tsp mace1/8 tsp cloves1/8 tsp nutmeg1/8 tsp ginger
Peel, core and slice the apples. (Any type of apples will work - this is a great way to use up "old" apples). Mix together all the dry ingredients and then combine with the apples. Place in a microwave safe dish and microwave on high for about 8 minutes. This can also be baked at 350 for about 30 minutes or cooked and stirred on the stove top until the apples are starting to get soft.
Makes about 9 half cup servings.
Note: I often freeze this recipe in ziplock bags to have on hand for later. Just cut the apples and mix with the dry ingredients. Put in a ziplock bag and freeze (do not bake, yet). Then when you're ready for a yummy treat, take what you'd like out of the freezer and bake. Your house will smell wonderful!
