Apple Crisp Shortbread Bars

Ingredients
1 cup Butter, salted .5 cup Granulated Sugar 2 tsp Vanilla Extract .5 tsp Salt 2 cup Flour - Gold medal all purpose flour 6 large (3-1/4" dia) (approx 2 p Apples, fresh with skin 0.25 cup Flour - Gold medal all purpose flour .25 cup Granulated Sugar 2 tsp Cinnamon, ground .5 tsp Nutmeg, ground 1 cup Flour - Gold medal all purpose flour 1.5 cup, packed Brown Sugar .5 cup Butter, salted
Directions
Shortbread Base:
Cream 1 cup butter. Add 1/2 c sugar, vanilla, salt, and 2 c flour. Press into 9x13 pan lined with parchment paper. Bake in oven preheated to 300 for 15 minutes

Apple Filling:
Combine apples, 1/4 c flour, 1/4 c sugar, cinnamon and nutmeg.

Topping:
Mix 1 c flour, brown sugar, and 1/2 c butter.

Remove crust from oven. Sprinkle half of topping over crust. Layer apples and remaining topping.

Bake at 350 for 30 minutes.
