Beetroot curry

Ingredients
3 tbsp Crisco Pure Vegetable Oil 750 gram beetroots 5 gram(s) udad dal (spilt matpe beans)
Directions
Peel and shredd the beets . Add oil to the pan and it is hot add the( available at Indian grocery store) seasoning ( everything except shredded beets) after 3 min add the beets and cook for about 15 min and turn off the stove . This is good to have with hot rice / tortillas or can be had plain . PN -- when you add the seasoning ensure the oil is moderately hot otherwise it is going to burn the seasoning.
