6 oz Whole Foods Cod Fillet - Frozen, Wild Alaskan (by SWOODYUT) 1 cup Flour - Gold medal all purpose flour 1 cup Yellow Cornmeal 1 tsp Pepper, red or cayenne 0.67 tsp Granulated Sugar 12 oz Beer - Yuengling Lager *2 tablespoon honey (not included in calories and carb count)
in a large bowl add flour cornmeal cayeene and sugar mix together. whisk in cold beer and honey if using until well incorporated and free of lumps.
Season cod with salt and pepper and dredge in batter. allow excess batter to drip off and place into the deep fryer. fry for 6-8 minutes until golden, crisp and delicious. drain on paper towels. Place cod on a large serving platter or individual plates.
