Ingredients
Directions
1.5 cup Organic Red Lentils 3.5 cup Trader Joe's Organic Low Sodium Vegetable Broth 2 cup Brown Rice Lundberg Organic Short Grain 2 tbsp Onion powder 1 tsp Minced Onion (dried) .5 tsp Garlic, Granulated (Dry) .5 tsp Redmond Real Salt Ancient All Natural Sea Salt 0.25 cup Trader Joe's Tomato Basil Marinara .5 tsp Sage, ground .75 tsp Simply Organic Italian Seasoning
Cook the lentils in the vegetable broth until soft. My red lentils only took 15 minutes. Mash the lentils and them mix with the precooked brown rice and add seasonings and tomato sauce or marinara. Lightly spray a loaf pan and gently press mixture in to the pan. Add extra marinara or barb-q sauce if desired. Bake for 1 hour at 350 degrees. Let stand to cool for a few minutes before serving. Makes about 11 .25-.5 inch thick servings. Enjoy!
