2 Cup Black-eyed peas (cowpeas), immature seeds, cooked, boiled, drained, without salt 1 cup, chopped Onions, raw 2 pepper Jalapeno Peppers 36 oz Beer, Miller Light 5 serving Bacon - Applegate Farms Natural Sunday Bacon 5 serving Ham Steak Market Pantry I-piece (by PETEPALUCK)
Sear bacon ham and 1/2 onions and 1/2 jalapeņos. (I use jalapeņo slices that have been fermented and add a touch of fermented juice to the pot). Add 1 can of beer and deglaze the pot. Add peas, and remaining jalapeņo onion mixture. Add two more cans of beer. Bring to a boil. Cover and simmer for 1 to 2 hours or until Black Eyed Peas are done.
