Ingredients
3 cup Blackeye peas goya brand 10 oz Jones All Natural Original Pork Sausage 1 large Onions, raw 2 stalk, large (11"-12" long) Celery, raw 2 cup, strips Green Peppers (bell peppers) 3 cloves Garlic 1 tsp Garlic powder 1 tsp Onion powder 2 tsp Salt 1 serving 1/8th tsp red pepper flakes (by BUDDY_LOVE) 4 cup chicken broth rachael ray stock in a box
Directions
Soak beans overnight drain and rinse. In lg stock pot fry Sausage, when cooked remove sausage leave 1 Tblsp or so of fat in stockpot. Add onion, celery, and bell pepper( all chopped) and garl8ic minced. Cook until tender. Add blackeyed peas, salt, powders, red pepper flakes and ckicken stock. Bring to a boil. Reduce to simmer cover and cook until beans are tender, 30 to 45 mins.
