2.0 medium Carrots, raw0.3 cup, diced Celery, raw1.0 clove Garlic5.0 cup (8 fl oz) Water, tap0.75 cup Barley, pearled, raw1.0 cup Chicken stock, home-prepared3.0 serving Baby Bella Mushrooms (3 oz)3.0 oz Baked chicken leg quarter with skin1.0 tbsp Butter, salted
Saute garlic and vegetable
s in a tablespoon of butter or olive oil. When mushrooms give up the water, add chicken stock and barley. Bring to boil then reduce to simmer for 50 minutes or until barley is done to taste. Salt and pepper last.
